On the eve of critical primaries in five northeastern states, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders sat down with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes for a town hall at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. At a make-or-break moment in his campaign, Sanders made the case for staying in the race and continuing to fight for political revolution in Washington.
Here are the top ten can’t-miss moments from the Bernie Sanders town hall:
1. When Sanders said it was up to Hillary Clinton – not him – to convince his supporters to vote for Clinton if she wins the nomination
2. When Sanders vowed to “do everything in my power” to keep a Republican out of the White House
3. When Sanders called Chris Hayes “a conservative” – with a wink
4. When Sanders said the “corporate media” dictates the political conversation – and then noted where the town hall was being broadcast
5. When Sanders was asked to identify a bad vote he had cast in Congress…and actually answered
6. When Sanders admitted it will be hard to win if he’s behind in pledged delegates – but said superdelegates could still switch their support
