Vice President Joe Biden said he was prepared to make waves during Seth Meyers’ debut Monday as Late Night host.
“I was planning on making a major announcement tonight,” Biden said when asked if he planned on running for president.
After a short pause the vice president told Meyers: “But I decided tonight’s your night.”
“So I hope you’ll invite me back,” Biden added.
However there was a contender on Monday willing to tip her hat into the 2016 race: Comedian Amy Poehler. “I’m going to run for president,” she joked.
