Today’s installment of campaign-related news items from across the country.
* Friday was a rather brutal day for Donald Trump’s anti-election legal efforts, and the court rulings since, including two rulings issued this morning, were no better for the outgoing president.
* Following a third count of the state’s ballots, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) announced this morning that his office will certify Joe Biden’s victory in Georgia today.
* Georgia’s U.S. Senate debates were held yesterday, and voters got to see appointed Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R) refuse to say whether Trump lost the election, while incumbent Sen. David Perdue (R) refused to show up for his event.
* The outgoing president held his first post-election rally on Saturday night in Georgia, but instead of promoting his party’s two U.S. Senate candidates, Trump mainly dwelled on his personal grievances. He did, however, take time during the event to suggest Rep. Doug Collins (R) launch a primary challenge against Gov. Brian Kemp (R) in 2022.
