Pacific Standard’s cover story documents the alarming and disproportionate number of threats women face online. From 2000 to 2012 nearly 73% of people who reported harrassing incidents were women.
While women are told to ignore the threats, grow a thicker skin or simply just get off social media Amanda says that should not be the point.
