Former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb, who has been laying low since he announced a presidential exploratory committee last year, will speak at a Democratic fundraiser in Iowa in April.
Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, who is also seriously considering a presidential run, will also speak at the Polk County Democratic Party’s Annual Spring Award Dinner in Des Moines. Iowa is the first state to hold a caucus in the Democratic presidential nominating process.

“I’ve been looking forward to getting back to Iowa and eager to meet more hard working Democrats who are looking for leadership we can trust,” Webb said in a statement.
