* The news out of Boston is coming fairly quickly, and I’d recommend NBC News’ live stream for the latest.

* Iraq: “Insurgents in Iraq deployed a series of car bombs as part of highly coordinated attacks that cut across a wide swath of the country Monday, killing at least 55 on the deadliest day in nearly a month.”
* Venezuela: “Nicolas Maduro, who served as Venezuela’s interim president in the weeks after the death of his mentor, President Hugo Chavez, won a narrow victory over Miranda state Gov. Henrique Capriles to become the country’s elected leader, officials said.”
