This past Friday, both the owner and manager of Ross’ Restaurant in Bettendorf, Iowa stopped by The Rachel Maddow Show to share their now-famous dish that President Obama sampled during his Iowa trip last Tuesday. Mother-and-daughter team Cynthia Freidhof and Melissa Freidhof-Rodgers made their Magic Mountain as part of Friday’s “Best New Thing” segment, and luckily they had leftovers. As soon as we were off-air, the entire Rachel Maddow Show staff swarmed the set and made sure the Ross’ Restaurant owners weren’t going home with any food.
