Congressman Paul Ryan, NASA’s Mark Kelly, and Actress Ashley Judd. What do they have in common? They all made Politico’s list of 13 people to watch in politics for 2013.
Also on the list is Mayor Cory Booker of Newark, NJ.
“He certainly has made a name for himself on Twitter, rescuing a woman from a building that was on fire,” Politico’s Anna Palmer said of Mayor Booker on Jansing & Co.
San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro also made the list.
“He is somebody who hit the stage, was the first Latino to have a prime time spot at the [Democratic National] Convention,” Palmer told msnbc’s Richard Lui. As for Ashley Judd, she is “someone that a lot of democrats are hoping could run against Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for Senate,” Palmer said.
