Today’s edition of quick hits:
* Some heartening news out of Oak Creek: “The conditions of two of three people wounded during the Sikh Temple shooting in Oak Creek were upgraded at a Milwaukee area hospital. Froedtert Hospital says Oak Creek Police Lt. Brian Murphy is now in satisfactory condition. A man is now in serious condition, while a woman is still in critical condition.”
* Also, the Sikh temple is now accessible again: “Four days after a gunman killed six people and critically injured three others at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin, community leaders were allowed Thursday to return to their place of worship.”
* Is the momentum in Syria shifting away from the Assad regime? Ambassador Susan Rice believe it is.
* The Komen fallout continues: “Leaders of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation announced Wednesday that they would step down from their roles at the breast cancer charity.”
* She’s a tough one: “This year, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg continued to work after breaking two ribs during one of the Supreme Court’s busiest months.”
