Add Bill Kristol to the growing list of conservatives who are calling Mitt Romney to immediately release more of his tax returns.
The political analyst said on Fox News Sunday that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee should make the documents public tomorrow.
“It’s crazy,” Kristol said. “You gotta release six, eight, 10 years of back tax returns. Take the hit for a day or two.”
Democrats say Romney—whose wealth is estimated at $250 million—may have something to hide and that he could be taking advantage of tax loopholes.
In January, Romney released his 2010 tax filing, and he says he’ll release the 2011 documents before Election Day. However, he insists he won’t release any more tax returns besides the ones for those two years.
The calls for Romney to release more information have been intensifying since recent Vanity Fair and AP reports detailed Romney’s offshore holdings in countries such as the Cayman Islands, Bermuda and Switzerland.
